- Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) is a domain name that can contain any character other than an English alphabet (Latin alphabet) in the ASCII code A-Z, Arabic numerals 0-9, and hyphen (-). Domain name registration was originally restricted to ASCII characters only due to technical limitations of the system. Later, with the development of the IDN system, we were able to use letters in other languages, including Thai.
